Overcoming Clinical Trial Outsourcing Challenges in Latin America Panel Session Scheduled for the Drug Information Association's 45th Annual Meeting

Translation Expert, Global Language Solutions, Participates on the Panel
Scheduled for June 24, 2009
Orange County, CA - June 11, 2009 - Translation company Global Language Solutions, Inc. (GLS) announces its president, Inna Kassatkina, as a panel participant for
"The Good, the Bad and the Surmountable: Overcoming Outsourcing Challenges in Latin America" at DIA's 45th Annual Meeting in San Diego, CA. Kassatkina will address the regulatory, cultural, and logistical differences between clinical research in the U.S. and Latin America.
Other topics covered during the session include the key criteria to identifying a strong outsourcing partner with established relationships in Latin America, communications flow, and liability and requisite documentation. Kassatkina will join Lynn Sutton of ReSearch Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. (RPS) and Karole Sutherland of Sutherland Consulting Group on the panel.
"A major advantage in conducting clinical trials in Latin America is the commonality of Spanish as an official language across the majority of the region. Compared with running a clinical trial across multiple countries in Europe, this can save sponsors significant translation costs and streamline the project timings. Additionally, the commercial markets are quite attractive with relatively lower costs; but this does not come without its challenges. This session addresses these challenges, as well as the need for culturally and linguistically accurate language services," comments Kassatkina.
The DIA Annual Meeting is the biopharmaceutical industry's largest, longest running, best-value, global, multidisciplinary event. This year's program offers learning opportunities for everyone and features the biggest names from industry, regulatory, and academia.
Kassatkina's session is scheduled for
Wednesday, June 24th at 8:30 AM. GLS will also participate as an exhibitor at
Booth 231.
