Global Language Solutions Donates Spanish Translation Services to Whole Child International to Help the Nonprofit’s Expansion in Central America
Orange County, CA and Los Angeles, CA - November 20, 2008 - Global Language Solutions®, a full-service translation company, today announced that it is donating Spanish translation services to support the growth efforts of
Whole Child International in Nicaragua and El Salvador.
Whole Child International, a 501(c)(3) international aid organization based in Los Angeles, works with governments to improve the quality of life for children in orphanages and other institutions. Research by Whole Child and its partners has proven that institutions can be dramatically improved at relatively small cost by focusing on the relationship between child and caregiver. They focus on three basic childcare principles — primary caregiving, continuity of care, and small groups — and training, guiding, and supporting administrators and caregivers on the changes that are necessary to meet children's critical social and emotional needs. This cost-effective work leverages the power of early intervention and implements best practices in child development to make it possible for these children to become productive members of society.
“After completing a successful pilot program in Managua, Nicaragua, we have expanded this comprehensive program from one to a total of five orphanages in Nicaragua, and three more in El Salvador,” commented Whole Child Founding Executive Director Karen Gordon. “In order to help expand our programs throughout these countries, we need to communicate and present our research findings in the local language.
