Message from the editor
Message from the Editor Patient-Reported Outcome (PRO) instruments are used to gather data directly from the patient (i.e., without the interpretation of the patient's responses by physician). As clinical trials continue to cross borders, PROs developed in one language or culture must be adapted or translated for use in another language or culture. When an instrument is translated into another language the possibility of cultural errors and understandability issues increase; potentially impacting the study data. Read more about PRO instrument translation and linguistic validation in Global Communicator's featured industry article.

Also in this issue, we share discounts for several life sciences industry events, announce our new office in Canada, and invite you to visit us at Booth 1537 during the DIA Annual Meeting in June.

As always, please send us your story ideas, share Global Communicator with a friend or colleague, or request more information about our ePublication.
