Message from the Editor With increasing numbers of people contracting the Swine Flu virus, much of the world's media travel coverage is focused on avoiding a pandemic — where to travel or not travel; how to avoid getting and spreading the virus. However, for the travel industry this is yet another blow to the bottom line; first a plummeting economy and now a spreading public health concern.

This issue, our focus is on the travel industry. And, while we recognize its significant impact on travel, we'll steer clear of the flu and instead talk about language and translation tips for international travelers.

Also in this issue, we focus on the German language.

If you're in the healthcare or life sciences industries, be sure to read our News section for information on PROs translations and to request our two-page case study.

As always, please send us your story ideas, share Global Communicator with a friend or colleague, or request more information about our e-Publication.
