It’s been eight years since the 2000 U.S. presidential election when the terms "hanging," "pregnant," and "dimpled" chad became part of our vocabulary. In this issue of Global Communicator, our industry focus turns to the technology industry. Since the elections are quickly approaching, we’re zeroing in on e-voting, and, of course, how language ties into the process.
Our featured language is Armenian, which is ranked as the fifth most spoken non-English language in the state of California by the U.S. Census Bureau. Interested in finding out the top languages spoken in the state(s) your company conducts business? To request a copy of our proprietary report, “Foreign Speaker Demographics in the U.S. - Top 10 Languages in Every State,” please contact us.
We are always looking for new topics of interest and reader feedback. Please send us your story ideas, share Global Communicator with a friend or colleague, or request to feature a story on your website.
